In september 2023 I hosted my first in-atelier workshop in portrait painting in my new studio space. Prince Clause Fund asked me to organize a three hour workshop for sixteen people in portrait painting.

I’ve been teaching for about four years now at schools and different locations, but never had the space to host group painting workshops in my own atelier. But now I do!

We started out by doing sketching warmups, a painting demonstration and then starting right on the canvas. Everyone painted eachother so everyone left with their own potrait painted. The focus wasn’t on painting a realistic portrait, but rather playing and daring to just paint and express yourself.
